Who Ya Gonna Be?

Who do you want to be today?

It's up to you - anyone at all.

Maybe, like niece Marta and nephew Harmon, this is the year you get your Pirate gear on and pick up some cash from the neighbors, or at least some candy.

I seem to remember getting asked frequently as a kid who I wanted to be when I grew up

Well, I still don't know exactly - but I'm beginning to narrow it down.

The whole media mogul things seems to be overdone and I decided against becoming an internet billionaire as just too yesterday.

There's the quiet, hard-working, high-performing, humble, and dependable person at work; or the weekend happy-happy fun guys.  There is the part of Mom and Dad - son or daughter - roles, by the way, you can play simultaneously.

A more difficult part to attempt and one guaranteed to results in many missteps and start-overs is that of Christian.  And, it goes with whatever role you play in everyday life.  One size fits all.

It's also something that can you can take with you in every role you play in life.

Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven.

Thanks to the saving blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus we can boldly be witnesses for Him in our daily lives.

The song says "They will know we are Christians by our love." Try to give that a shot today.

If someone wonders why you gave them the spot ahead of you in line, or performed some unexpected act of kindness with no thought of personal gain - you can reply it's because of Jesus and you are trying - today, especially - to be a Christian all day long.

That's not a trick, just a treat.
