Pancake Cafe

Thanks to a Groupon offer, we tried a new place for breakfast last Saturday... appropriately named the Pancake Cafe.

It lives up to its name with a variety of pancakes and crepes - as well as omelets and other breakfast fare.  Pancakes, like German Potato, Strawberry, Chocolate Chip, Buckwheat, and Blueberry were offered.

While located in a strip mall off Gammon Road (they have another location in Fitchburg (a city just south of Madison) the interior is pleasant, spacious, and cheery.

The Groupon, is an online coupon service targeted to your local area based on activities or interests.  The site sends a daily email with various options and you can purchase them within a limited time.  Groupon offered a $20 certificate to Pancake Cafe for $10.  Sign me up!

For my breakfast I was moved by the foggy October Saturday and the autumnal weather to try a stack of Pumpkin pancakes with a side of crisp bacon.

The pancakes tasted like a Pumpkin Pie breakfast - with some real butter and fresh whipped cream - it was scrumptious.

The bacon?  Let's just say I would go back just to have the bacon - it was that good!

The Groupon persuaded us to try it - the food will bring us back!  Not too far from home with out of this world food - I'm looking forward to trying more of their menu.
