After 1am Sunday morning Central time, the Badgers failed to get off a field goal attempt that would have defeated the Arizona State Sun Devils. It seems to be an officiating mistake. Or perhaps a miscalculation by the Wisconsin coaching staff wanting to run down the clock as far as possible before going for three while trailing by two.
An official didn't allow the team to line up over the ball to make a play and the clock went to zeros. Ugghh!
Less than eleven hours later, the Packers took the field for their home opener against Washington.
Thankfully the Pack exorcised its own demons and doubts leftover from the 49ers loss that started the year. Fans came in off the ledge with a convincing win.
While the wins and losses by our teams are not worth a hill of beans in the scheme of things... it does make our days more enjoyable when they win, doesn't it?
