Cooling

The title isn't a comment on overall climate patterns, just a welcome observation that after a hot and sticky couple of days it is great to be getting back to weather that feels like September.

Yesterday was into the 80s with Monday and Tuesday topping 90 degrees.  Today was into the 70s and Friday will settle for 60 degree temps.

It's cooling, as it always does, with teases and threats that much colder weather is coming in a few months.

Some might miss the too hot to hug days... but the cooler weather is perfect for snuggles, long walks, and S'mores (have you tried the recipe?).

We aren't done with all the heat and what still seems acceptable to call "Indian Summer" will no doubt come back around after the killing frost.

But for now - with a cool weekend beckoning - it's time to enjoy and break out the marshmallow sticks.
