A toasted marshmallow, that is.
It's National Marshmallow Toasting Day! You can mark your calendar, every August 30 is National Marshmallow Toasting Day.
I've observed you can tell a lot by how someone toasts their marshmallow.
Do you poke your stick born marshmallow into the flames so the little cube of white bursts into flame and becomes a Cajun-style treat.
The more careful and tidy among us hold the marshmallow above the flames and let the heat carefully caress the ooey-gooey stickiness as it slowly browns into the perfect main ingredient for a S'more.
As you know - you have one - you will want s'more!
Toasting a marshmallow makes everyone a kid again - gathering around a campfire, bonfire, or in front of a fireplace in a communal bake-fest.
Since it's a National Holiday and a Friday - make plans for getting a toasted marshmallow into your tummy tonight. Don't worry about the calories, the memories will be worth every gooey bite.
Enjoy! If you don't have an open flame - you can make a s'more in a microwave - here's the recipe I found on the National Marshmallow Toasting site:
