The Pork Tenderloin

The picture is from a classic drive in located in West LaFayette, Indiana called the Triple X Drive In.

The only thing Triple X about the place is the root beer (that's the name on the bottle), and the food could certainly be classified as sinful, too.

A good friend in Indy and I made several trips over the years from Indianapolis to eat lunch at the Triple X.  Yes, it was worth the hour plus drive to get there.

Their pork tenderloin is named the Leroy Loin in honor of a former Purdue Boilermaker football player.  It's quite good and with the onion rings alongside - you have yourself a full meal (or two) right there.

These days, that's why I bike and run and exercise, so I can occasionally enjoy without guilt the deep fried comfort foods that taste 'oh, so good.'

The Tenderloin is kind of the 'state' food of Indiana and they are a little less common up here in Brat and cheese country... but when you find one, it's going to be good.

So, in search of the best Tenderloin, it's time to get back on the bike!
