Spring, Not on March 20

These tulips are safely inside the glass - and that's good, because tomorrow when spring arrives a little after six am Central Time - it will get a very frosty reception.

The high, yes - the high, on Wednesday is to be 22.  Fahrenheit.

Those daffodils and crocus waiting to burst from the ground are weighted down with several inches of snow.

Not to say folks have cabin fever around here, but there are disturbing number of tank tops and surfer shorts - at church!

It seems the locals no longer even notice the cold - sure, it's more than 10 degrees cooler than 'normal,' but it's not stopping the bikers or the sunbathers from their usual spring time exploits.  Even the clothing optional beach is having a thriving business (but the warming house is unusually busy).

So, I hope where you are living it looks like Holland in spring time.  Because here in Cheese country - someone has left the freezer door closed just a touch too long.
