Spring Comes Gently

As soft and stealthy as a butterfly sneaking up on nectar, so it is with the arrival of spring in 2013.

There are some signs it is coming:

1. The calendar tells us it is spring.
2. The birds think it is spring.  Why else would there be large numbers of robins and migratory birds hanging around?
3.  The schools think it is spring.  Spring break, anyone?

But, it comes quietly and in pieces:

On the breath of a light breeze created by a warming March sun.

With the arrival next week of Easter - a celebration of an eternal spring for those who believe in Christ, our Savior - and heralded with the trumpet-like lilies that announce it to the world.

In the stores, which are quickly gearing up to sell fall and winter clothing (spring and summer are soooo yesterday).  Many of those same stores are also hot to put out the Fourth of July stuff, too.

Check your heart, inside there as well, you know that no matter the weather, that spring has sprung.
