March Forth

It is really the only date on the calendar that sounds like a command.

March Fourth - march forth!

With most of the winter behind us:
What are you going to do now?
Where are you planning to 'go?'
Which lives are you going to impact?

Well, March Forth!

Are you going to start that walking program or some sort of exercise regime?  Well, take a look into your community events - select an upcoming walk/run and register - then march forth!

Have you been meaning to visit some distant relatives (even those that don't live so far away)?  Pick up the phone - send an email - drop a text - or, land sakes(!), write a letter to them, select a date for your calendar and rekindle some family ties and relationships over some food and beverages.  March forth!

There is a group you can help - either at your house of worship; some community cause you admire and support; or neighbors that could use a hand - and decide to offer some assistance; whether it's a few hours a week or a month.  Then go visit a lay leader or volunteer coordinator and find a place for your skill sit; or simply ask your neighbor if there is something you could do to help them out.  March forth!

It doesn't take a lot of time to make a difference; and if you join other volunteers (Habitat for Humanity for example) then the manpower ratchets through the roof.

My guess, by the time you finishing this marching, you'll realize the person who benefited the most... is you as your new perspective on life reaches into the world around you.

You'll be glad you did.
