There are occasionally good reminders that we aren't all that we might think.
Usually, when in full health, I am a fairly quick walker.
Right now, I practically need one of those contraptions, complete with wheels in the front and fuzzy tennis balls on the back legs.
Today, it happened twice. As I was moving from one place to another on our east-side campus I was passed by a person using a walker!
So a big lesson this past month for me is learning more empathy for the conditions many seniors (even healthy individuals) struggle with each day. That includes some limitations with mobility.
I anticipate getting back to 'full-speed' again some day, hopefully soon, but hope the lessons I've learned about life in the 'slow lane' stick around.
