We are once again all a twitter about the next round of snow heading our way this evening - maybe three to six inches to add to the 40 plus inches we've received so far this winter.It is nice to experience winter again!
We are getting close to the time where the Tournament Snows are supposed to arrive.
You know, those legendary snowstorms that everyone remembers that always hit about the time the boys or girls were at the State Basketball Tournament. In our memory, those snowfalls packed a punch of a foot or more with gigantic drifts and piles of shoveled snow that made it tough to see around street corners and the end of driveways.
The reality may have been different, but I tend to think that, yes, we did get a lot more snow way back in the 1960s and 70s here in southern Wisconsin.
Of course, when the dinosaurs were roaming the earth I guess it was a lot cooler.
