The 'between'

Did you notice it?

That we are 'between?'

Now, depending on your perspective - it could be as simple as 'between' football season for my team, the Pack, and baseball season.

It could be you feel 'between' Christmas and Lent or perhaps Easter.

Maybe 'between' the first snow of winter and the first green blades of grass that herald the arrival of spring.

Another way to consider our 'between,' is that we (all of us reading - or able to read this) are between our birthday and our last day alive on this earth.

So, what are you/we going to do about it?

Are you going to make a difference in someones life?  Your life?

When a cold day in a stretch of cold days is upon us... it's a good time to look around, take a glance at all of creation around us and be thankful for another opportunity to make a difference; to carry out our work (paid or not); and do it the best of our ability.

Sometimes, the idea of between, seems like hanging between two destinations and just waiting for the next shoe to drop.

Maybe this kind of day hits when we are fatigued or just worn out or hoping to feel better.

So, for you and me, here's a nicer way to remember 'between.'

I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Genesis 9: 12 -14

On these days between what we enjoyed and what we hope for - it's nice to know that our Lord, our Savior, our God - has our back, literally, in His hands.

And being between His loving hands is the greatest place to be!
