Area Dining Stops

Breakfast holds a special place all its own, so here we'll focus on great places around Wisconsin for lunch of supper.
HHFFRRRGGH
in Janesville

These are the spots I've visited since January 1, 2015... I hope you give them a shot.

You might not be able to pronounce HHFFRRRGGH, but you will find a friendly place to eat in Janesville.

I don't generally review chains, but Moo-Yah is new to Wisconsin and has a name which sounds like it belongs in the Dairy State.

There are restaurants focused on their grill, but not many are built around it... this tiny burger joint in Jefferson is and it makes one of the best burger's in the country.

Sloppy Joes, Waukesha
Is there any chance you won't like a place calling itself Sloppy Joe's?  I don't think so.

It's nice to have a place where you can go for a quick lunch or a nicer dinner; Buck & Honey's is one of those in Sun Prairie.
We've likely all been asked if we learned our manners in a barn; which seems like a good reason to eat in one; that's what pulled my car off the road near Baraboo to eat at The Barn.

In Cedarburg, on the west edge of town is a modern drive-inn with some wonderful old fashioned food and service; eat at Wayne's.

Schubert's in Mt. Horeb is an excellent bakery and breakfast spot, and it's not a bad choice for lunch.

Hubbard Diner, Middleton
Some of the best restaurants in Madison are in the Food Fight group and one of their top tier spots is Hubbard's Diner.

I like classic drive-inns - and it's difficult to find a better one than Kopp's Custard.
