The Week That Was - April 14

The birds are back.  It seems though they might be wondering why it isn't warmer and more like, you know, spring.

The grass is lifeless brown.  On Easter, there were more folks wearing parkas and gloves than their Sunday go to meeting clothes.

By tomorrow night, forecasters think parts of southern Wisconsin might be dealing with 2 inches of rain.

These are not the April showers we sing about, that's for sure.

It came to my attention earlier this week that one of my favorite places for a burger and a shake in Milwaukee qualified as Grade A on one national list.

A web magazine called Thrillist unveiled their Top 31 Burger Joints in America and Milwaukee's Kopp's Custard made the cut.

Follow the link and scroll down, it is in alphabetical order.

The one thing to keep in mind on a visit to Kopp's if you no longer own an under 30 metabolism is to eat everything with a side of moderation.  You will enjoy it more that way.

It was a busier than usual week at work, but the opportunity to join residents over lunch or dinner has proven to be one of the most effective tools I have to get acquainted.

Like most jobs, mine is about the relationships, and getting an opportunity to say a few words in an informal setting has helped begin a number of them.

The week went by pretty fast.  So fast, a lot of it's a blur now that I'm trying to write about it.  I guess it's good this is the end of the week.
