Hail to the Victors!

Villanova deserves the crown, ripping it out of Wolverine paws after allowing them to play with the idea for nearly ten minutes before gradually moving away to a 79 - 62 win in the NCAA Championship last night.

Late in the first half, Villanova put on a bit of a run to sneak in front of the Wolverines, who were up seven with 10:30 to go in the first stanza.

Half-time score, Villanova 37, Michigan 28 with the Wildcats taking momentum into their locker room.

They didn't leave it there.

Michigan tried some new tricks trying to get a run together, but couldn't find the defense for Nova.  Not than any team did in the tournament, Their closest contests were 12 point victories.

Villanova has the Player of the Year, Jalen Brunson and a strong compliment of teammates that wore teams down all season long.

It wasn't much of a game by the half, but it more than validated the Wildcats claim on the title.  Hail to those Victors!

Yes, I know "Hail to the Victors" is from the Michigan fight song, they just don't need it for a few days!
