Championship Monday

It is game 63.  The Final Game.

# 3 seed Michigan and #1 seed Villanova.

Loyola had a great run, but the Wolverines clawed past the Ramblers to reach tonight's title game.

I didn't think Loyola was outclassed in terms of talent, but Michigan went on a run to end the game and Loyola-Chicago couldn't answer.

The Ramblers made it a tournament to remember and because the reached the final weekend they go down in history.  They played brilliantly, Michigan was better.

So the B1G conference reaches the Final.  The last time the conference took home a championship was 18 years ago when Michigan State got it.  Six other teams reached the game since, but came short.

For Michigan to win, they need to continue playing strong defense and hit their three point shots.

In the anticipated match of two top seeds, it never developed.  Villanova took off, breaking to a 22 - 4 lead and the Jayhawks never closed the gap to single digits.  The Wildcats looked good, but it is difficult to gauge how good a team is when everything goes in the hoop.

Wolverines and Wildcats would be a tough fight in the wild, however Wolverines are known as one of the most ferocious fighters in nature.  I think this one comes down to three point shooting, and it is hard to believe Villanova will be as hot as they were in the semi-final.

I expect tonight's game to be close, and flipping a coin to select the B1G team as the victor.
