Valentine's Day

This is not a drill.

It is Valentine's Day, and if you woke up this morning in a cold sweat - realizing the last seven days have passed and you still didn't pick up a gift for your sweetheart - I'm here to help you out of your predicament.

My assumption, since you are already online, is that you can download a Valentine's Day card template, or find an electronic greeting card website and find an appropriate card to surprise your honey at work when she opens her email.

Just a bit better than an online email would be a template you download into your word processing software and write out the reasons you love your significant other.

I suggest writing a Top Five List - the top 5 reasons you love her.  #1 is probably the fact she still hasn't given you the boot and has grown to appreciate your grumpy and stubborn nature.

Look for a reputable flower shop or nicer grocery store early in the day to buy some roses.  They won't be inexpensive since you failed to plan ahead, but they will be worth it.

You will pick up points if you deliver them to her at the office or make a special home delivery over lunch time.

Any good place to eat is already booked, so it's time for some imagination.

Bring home some nice take-out food (not a bag o' burgers) and get out the nice china with stemware; find a candle and tablecloth and create your own corner restaurant.

OK?  Feeling better about getting a last minute plan together?

We've gotten you this far - to a candlelit table with a nice meal and pretty flowers for the love of your life.

I trust you can take it from here.

If not... well, buddy there isn't enough room in cyberspace to help you dig out of that hole.
