Not Much. You?

Every Saturday at 10am, Michael Feldman seeks the answers to the question he poses to the audience, 'Whad' ya know?'

We respond as a congregation familiar with the liturgy, with our reply, "Not much. You?'  And so it begins.

I've been listening to the show nearly as long as it's been on the air - more than 25 years - but this weekend was the first time to see it in person.

Broadcast from the Lecture Hall in the beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright designed Monona Terrace - the two hour program is a mix of comedy, quiz questions, interviews (Bobcat Goldwaithe, and a local sausage-maker), live jazz music, political commentary, and interaction with the audience.

Michael Feldman is comfortable in his own skin.  When he wanted to hear about an audience member's Machu Picchu experience, he grabbed the wireless mike and made his way down the row past us to hear all (I mean ALL) about it.

We didn't 'make' the show - learned to get on the quiz involves quick hands and better placement in the general admission seating bowl - another member was feted for his birthday, but the 3 by 5 card with our anniversary info must have escaped his notice.  Oh well, that would have been fun to have been 'in' the show, but it was a great way to spend a cold January Saturday morning.

I look forward to a return trip - when the amount I know will have increased just a tad bit.
